FAIR TRADE
NYU Abu Dhabi Showcase
A former black market passport dealer must help a friend get away from a collapsing human trafficking business and its vengeful procurer.
From a chance meeting in an intermediate film class at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, I ended up being flown to Abu Dhabi, my first time in the United Arab Emirates, to shoot a major student project. Traveling the city and taking in the different culture was really an incredible experience, as was working with a full crew of talented students and faculty at NYU Abu Dhabi. From shooting in hundred degree weather in an abandoned housing complex in the middle of the desert, to a multi-million dollar apartment complex, this project holds a special place in my heart not only because it was visually one of my best projects at the time, but because I had the chance to get a glimpse at what life, people, and filmmaking were like on the other side of the globe.
